Professional Experience
Laurel Wiley is an attorney in the Firm's Commercial Litigation and Community Association Law Practice Groups. She served in the Florida Attorney General's office for four years, including service as an Assistant Attorney General in the Children's Legal Services Division where she represented the Florida Department of Children and Families in Juvenile Dependency hearings and appeals, provided legal assistance to caseworkers and helped pilot new programs for Florida's dependent children. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Division where she researched and wrote dozens of Appellate briefs and advocated the State's interests orally before the Appellate Court.
She co-authored the "Preliminary Dependency Proceedings" chapter in the Florida Juvenile Law and Practice Manual, (8th Edition, 2003) and previously served as a Law Clerk for the Guardian Ad Litem program.
