Professional Experience
David G. Muller is a member of the Firm's Community Association and Litigation Practice Groups.  He represents community associations located in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee, Polk, Desoto, Brevard and Highlands counties.  Mr. Muller also leads the Sarasota office Litigation Department.  Additionally, he leads the Collection and Foreclosure Departments for both the Firm's Sarasota and Tampa Bay offices.  Mr. Muller began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Brevard County, Florida.  He has extensive trial experience in covenant enforcement, personal injury, criminal, construction and foreclosure law.

Mr. Muller also serves as the Co-Executive Director of Becker & Poliakoff's Community Association Leadership Lobby, or CALL, which represents the interests of the Firm's 4,000+ community association clients by monitoring and responding to legislation emerging from Tallahassee which can significantly impact common ownership housing communities. One of CALL's primary goals is to provide residents in common interest ownership communities with a megaphone to provide meaningful input into the legislative process that can impact their communities and homes.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Muller worked as a staff member for United States Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D. (FL 15 th District, Melbourne ). While working for Congressman Weldon, Mr. Muller assisted constituents by serving as a liaison between local government, business officials and federal agencies.

Activities & Memberships
Mr. Muller is an active member of the West Florida Chapter of the Community Association Institute, the Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.

Publications
Mr. Muller recently served as an Editor of the Community Update, the Firm's monthly newsletter dedicated to community association law. He is also a regular contributor to The Docket, the monthly newsletter of the Sarasota County Bar Association.
