Professional Experience
Edward Lohrer is a member of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A.'s Construction Litigation Department and devotes his practice almost exclusively to construction law and litigation. Mr. Lohrer has significant experience representing owners, developers, associations, contractors, design professionals, and governmental entities in a variety of construction related litigation. He has handled construction related issues involving contractual disputes, delay claims, defect claims, design professional errors and omissions claims and Florida 's construction lien law throughout the state of Florida.
Mr. Lohrer has served in the United States Army and continues to serve in the United States Army Reserves. He has been deployed to locations around the world, including a 12 month combat tour in Iraq from 2003-2004 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Activities and Memberships
Mr. Lohrer is an active member of the civic and legal community. He has donated many hours of his time to Florida Rural Legal Services efforts to help families affected by the foreclosure crises stay in their homes or find suitable alternative housing. He is also a former member of the Calusa Inn of Court, a chapter of the American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to advancing the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar.
