Professional Experience
Steven Kushner concentrates his legal practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, commercial and residential lending, governmental agency transactions, public-private partnerships, developer representation, real estate and business transactions, and contract law. For more than twenty years, he has been representing Fortune 1,000 companies, large and small developers, private investors and property owners. He has served as counsel in a variety of transactions including the purchases and sales of businesses, real estate acreage, and commercial and residential properties.
Mr. Kushner's practice includes arbitration and litigation, structuring and counseling of large and small business enterprises. His range of experience includes the consummating of hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions, from serving as lead counsel in a $40 million closing in downtown Manhattan, to the sale and transfer of intellectual properties and historic collections of art and other collectibles. He has represented national developers of real estate with regard to the acquisition, subdivision and resale of residential subdivisions.
Publications
Mr. Kushner has been published in "Action-Line", a publication of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and reprinted by the Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. He has spoken before numerous public and private groups regarding issues pertaining to real estate, tax, and corporate law.
Activities and Memberships
Board Member, The Chamber of Commerce - Southwest Florida
Leadership Lee County, 2010-2011. Mr. Kushner is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and is Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida, Inc. He is also Vice Chairman of the Southwest Florida Leadership Initiative. Mr. Kushner was also selected by Fidelity National Title/Chicago Title as a member of the 2011 Fidelity Commercial Real Estate Council for SW Florida.
