Professional Experience
Mr. DeSouza is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. He has significant experience representing clients in all aspects of complex, civil litigation arising in courts in Florida and throughout the United States. He has successfully represented clients in the areas of breach of contract, employment, director and officer liability, and tort litigation. Mr. DeSouza also has substantial experience in bankruptcy litigation, representing creditor committees, debtors, secured lenders, and others in complex contested matters and adversarial proceedings involving the avoidance of preferences, fraudulent transfers, and motions to terminate collective bargaining agreements and retiree benefits.
Prior to moving to Florida, Mr. DeSouza practiced at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in Washington, D.C., where he focused on a range of areas including complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation on behalf of major institutional and individual clients.
